In all fairness to them, Ukrainian drone operators do seem to use IR during the day pretty regularly based on other footage.

      Dr who episode featured these….

      Biology

The most common variety of Varga plants resembled large cacti, but with roots that allowed them to drag themselves along. They had the ability to poison other creatures with their thorns, making them into other Varga plants. An infected victim would first become homicidal. As the infection progressed, white hair would grow over their bodies. (TV: Mission to the Unknown) As the toxin infected a person’s system, they would hear a voice calling them to join the Varga and kill. Proximity to the plants meant their influence was greater; they could even feel Varga plants if they were in pain. Transformation into a Varga depended on the severity of the wounds inflicted. (AUDIO: Masters of Earth)

    3. Thinking standing stand still makes them harder to spot, but really they are just easier to hit. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

    4. Great hits!

Seeing them stumble because those cloaks clearly hamper their movement is kind of comical.

Interesting confetti style effect of the blast on them.

By the way they were tucking into those blankets in broad daylight when they knew they were spotted leads me to think they were trying to use them as actual camouflage rather than IR shielding. It…didn’t work.

Wow, these specific FPVs carry quite a punch! Some of the bigger FPV explosions I’ve seen so far.

This would be adorable if it wasn’t for the fact that they’re invading another country to murder civilians.

    11. I still don’t understand why Russians are like Halo grunts in birthday party mode

In today’s news, in a case of mistaken identification three of the mutant ninja turtles were sadly killed on a secret mission in Ukraine.

    13. I wonder what the feeling feels like the moment you realize the coats didn’t work.

Like what I’d the mud didn’t work for Arnold in the Predator?

      “Brother… where is Boris?”

      “He is all around us”

      “Ahh I see… around us in spirit-…”

“No no.. he is literally all around us”

      _______

Genuinely though, Ukraine operators have been using IR during the day so completely understand why they have the coats on. But also its board fucking daylight… that is a big target to miss.
