The minimum we can do
Honestly as a swiss I think also our tax money should be used. We send Billions in disaster relief to other countries too. Not that I have something against that but we should at least use some of it to take care in situations like this. If we have to rely on handouts and donations the Government has not done its job in my opinion
Would they move the location to rebuild?
In the meantime UBS is doing an extreme effort to donate a fifth of what Raiffeisen is donating… 200K that pale in comparisson to some of their executive’s bonus.
Don’t donate anything let the insurances hold up to their claims of coverage.
What I find rather stupid, is that they want to rebuild the village. I mean, it’s now known that the location is dangerous. So don’t rebuild it there.
It is a very big impact, and I really feel sorry for all the people their lost their Home and Business. Holiday place is also sad but can survive without.
Fortunately, the kanton end the government also offered help, so there is hope.
I can send only my best wishes and hope they will start to open a stream for the water so no flood for the rest of the valley.
In March 2025, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project[32] and Der Standard[33] reported Raiffeisen had sent about $10 billion worth of euros and US dollars, in cash, to Russia in the weeks leading to the 2022 invasion, including several shipments arriving after the invasion had begun.
That’s advertising
Proud to be a Raiffeisen customer.
