I‘m glad you‘re safe, memories aren‘t lost and houses can be rebuilt ♥️ But being alive is really cool sometimes, so I‘m happy that the most crucial part worked out

    2. It shows you that love is the most important thing to stay whole. Keep on supporting each other and talking about your mental well-being.

I’m at a loss for words. You are so brave and amazing to thank people and recognise that and make us all a little proud in these difficult times. I donated a little through gluckskette and thought „it’s not much“…. But seeing a post like this tells me it’s everything. Thank you too.

All the best from Germany to you! I was heart broken when I saw the news. About 30 years ago I went on a skiing trip to Kippel and I remember the very nice traditional wooden houses. I hope I remember correctly because that was my young and reckless weed smoking phase which, also a fond memory, a local gave to me for free. Very nice people there, beautiful scenery and towns. Very sad about the disaster. Hope you will be able to rebuild everything and go on with your lives.

Blatten was one of the nicest towns in Switzerland and Hotel Edelweiss was the crown.

Much strength and all the best for your future!

I hope it ends well and stay safe! Just a question for my curiosity, what’s expected in this situation, I assume to clean and rebuild the village?

      ♥️

First of all I am happy that you are safe!
You are so strong for being on here to thank people after losing so much.

I really wish I was able to help in any way when financial help is not an option for me. Just know that we are a lot of people both in and outside Switzerland who are thinking of all of you.
I wish you the very best.♥️♥️

(And if anyone know of ways to help, teams to join, or ideas of what can be done, please feel free to let me know)

This is so refreshing to read – next to all the people in this channel often trying just to maximise profit (and leave again).

I love Blatten und been there many times also Faffleralp – a true magical place. The amount of hardship and challenges you are going must be unimaginable.

Let us know what else the valley needs in the upcoming months to get back on their feets.

Spent a perfect evening and night in the Edelweiss Hôtel in early February 2020, loved every minute. Thank you for everything. All the best for the future, hope our little donations can help all of Blatten citziens.

Hey everyone! On June 14, we’re hosting a Baggilalöif in Niedergesteln, organized by Jugendverein Niedergesteln (that’s us!). There will be plenty of food, including cakes and salads. All donations for the cakes and salads will go directly to Blatten. Hope to see you there!

    12. I’ve been watching On the Pulse with Silki (YouTube) since the collapse – she’s been providing very detailed and thorough updates 👌. I am thinking of you all – not just in Blatten but the entire Valais region. The effect of this direct hit on Blatten (as well the effect on its surrounding communities) is going to be felt forever it seems. And there is likely more to come with the melting ice…My heart goes out to everyone (and every animal) affected by this. That region was on my bucket list to visit as I have been a long time fan of your beloved Valais Blacknose Sheep, and when I realized where this occurred, in such a gorgeous and historical place, my heart just hurt for the loss . Wishing you all so much grace throughout this harrowing ordeal. You Swiss folk are a very smart, strong, and resilient people – I have all the faith in the world you will recover from this, but sincerely wishing you never had to. Much love from the U.S ❤️
