      He will be long dead way before his stupid golden dome plan will be built. It’s going to take more than a decade on the short end. Plus we are already part of NORAD lol the guy is just trying to steal the show since the king is here

      Hard to write a more sensationalized headline.

      I bet we still join this golden dome project (worst name ever) in some capacity or at least lead the US along in some kind of new “trade and security relationship” agreement. This government seems interested by all credible reports and Carney seems somewhat willing to placate Trump

      American’s are going to protect canada from missiles regardless.
      1: To protect themselves, they want missile defense AWAY from their population centers, further north in Canada.

      2: If we refused any military installations, any missile aimed at the most southern 90% of canadians would still be detected as a threat. When a missile is going mach 9, you dont have time to wait and see if it’s 50 k/m to the south or north of the border. Nuclear Missiles are best intercepted in space, before they detach into multiple warheads, that would ALL need to be shot down.

      3: Nobody is going to Missile/Nuke Canada alone. Any use of this system from a nation actor probably indicates WW3.

      Trying to disrupt 60 years of mutually assured destruction (Which forces major powers to cooperate and avoid total war) would cost an exorbitant amount of money, for what change? Are they seriously going to threaten nuking China/Russia? No, that would be insanely unpopular, especially for the entire rest of the world caught in the hellfire.

      He won’t even get to build his golden egg plant.
      It requires putting systems on Canadian sovereign soil, which will now cost him 70 billion per square centimeter, and since this clown has no idea what a centimeter is. We can tell him that the total for renting Canadian soil will be more than all the money in the world, but he can have it free as long as he agrees to let Canada annex the US and it becomes Canada’s 4 territory.
      Not a province, a territory.

      Man every single headline regarding Canada and Trump I cant help but immediately think of how polievre would be handling all of this if he was elected. It would have been an absolute disgrace. So so happy mark carney is the one dealing with this

      These tabloids are wrong, they are linking 2 different things – annexation and ww3. The real point is how we once again need to ignore Hoekstra and Trump because they have no clue what they are talking about.

      Beautiful and golden.

      And conveniently invisible to the naked eye.

      Think of the political energy that it has.

      Somewhere along the way, it will be used to demonize Canada. Probably about 18 months before occupation. “They’re not paying their share. Woke gone wild. Communist. Need to rescue the sane ones.”

      Beware the golden wall. It is nothing good for us.

      And we’re not going to pay for it.

      Throwing out demands for $61 billion dollars for his dumb space laser like he’s Doctor Evil. And that’s the „low-enough to get approved“ number that this pipedream will almost certainly overrun on.
