Always my worst nightmare given my kids wear a school uniform that identifies them as being Jewish (and travel on the underground in it) – I bet the next time the uniform is revised they’ll remove the Star of David from it.
The attackers were clearly just criticising Israel.
And this is why you shouldn’t gaslight Jewish people about “cRiTicIsM oF iSrAeL” not being antisemitic. If you’re using blood libel and Jewish control tropes that directly leads to violence against Jewish people.
Do we have any neutral sources for this? This is reported in a Jewish newspaper and using the Jewish religious police as its source.
If true, obviously it is a bad thing and this shouldn’t happen. The chain of events that leads from „Israel is doing bad things“ to „have a go at Jews“ is the fault of all the people who conflate Israel and Judaism, and the number one culprits for that are supporters of Israel, including the Israeli state itself. That’s why it’s so important to separate „criticism of Israel“ and „antisemitism“.
