    Warum sind DB -Rucksäcke in Norwegen so beliebt?

      Because most norwegians are sheeps that follow the trend of what’s popular.

      Personally I bought one because it was the only option I found for storing both training gear and mac without it all being a big mess.

      I guess they just hit the right price/irony/design-spot. Next year it’s going to be something else.

      Cant say it looks familiar but id assume its waterproof and has a clean design

      I don’t get that either, so many options from different brands in the same price range that looks so much better imo.

      We love using backpacks in general, and the design allows you to use it in formal settings like work, I guess.

      Norwegians all wear the same things, so if something is popular it will be very noticeable. It’s the same with Hoka shoes etc. Even cars, about half the cars on the road are white Tesla Model Y it feels like.

      Small homogenous population with a conformity culture.

      Reasonably priced, practical, looks good, comes in a variety of colours and models. And waterproof (at least some of the colours/models). Also surprisingly robust, and unless you really treat them badly they hold up very well over many years.

      Ive been wanting to get one. For me its the size, some models are waterproof which is very much needed and its not that expensive.

      I need a backpack that can store shoes, a big jacket, computer and my work lunch. This fits all of it with no issue.

      Det er en Norske og Svenske som startet det hele, så er nok „skandinavisk design“ og smarte løsninger + en god „hype“
      Har DB selv og liker at man lett kan hekte en del i hverandre og sidelommen for laptop.
      I tipplokket har jeg gjerne noen kort i glidelåslommen i toppen mens solbrillene med etui i selve lokket samt andre ting jeg trenger å ha lett tilgjengelig.

      Det er også noen som startet opp noe lignende med capsen Varsity Vicuña

      People goes to school for 13 years + university.

      There is a demand for backpacks that doesnt look like ’school‘ while not being hiking backpacks either.

      Norwegian. Plus the big pocket opening style is good I am told. Plus everyone always buys this one thing each year.

      Fashion here is short-lived, and trends change. I remember EVRYONE and your grandma wore 2XU tights, then it was Bumpro/gym shark or something. Then everyone had Brgn or Blæst rain ponchos. Same with shoes, seems like Veja is trending ATM. The Db bag is just in now – the marked before was heavily dominated by Fjellreven Kånken backpacks.

      Had mine since 2018 been a good quality backpack nothing to complain about it

      Thanks for asking something I also wondered about.

      Looks robust, big, and waterproof so I guess that’s part of the appeal (and it’s Norwegian).

      As a native English speaker the whole thing feels pretty juvenile, and the rebrand as D___ b____ irks me. It’s a backpack made by frat boys.

      Got it because I indeed saw many people have it and it’s very nice and spacious, comfortable to load from front like this + separate laptop pocket and very nice as a carry-on.

      I see a bunch of people writing here that everyone is conformist in Norway and “sheeple” but goddamn, if you find/hear about a really comfy backpack and you try it out and like it, why tf would you need to look for something else.

      Real “not like other girls” behaviour here

      Look at Norwegian/Scandinavian Architecture and Interior Design. In those fields, we are known for preferring aesthetics within the boundaries of optimized functionality. Look at how many „allværsjakker“ multi-purpose hiking jackets you see everywhere: aesthetics within optimized functionality.

      Now look at the DoucheBag: massive storage, effective compartmentalisation, rigid structure that can house larger items while also pliable enough to push its limits and resist tear, excellent ergonomics. All while looking quite decent.

      The DoucheBag fits our preferences really well!

      The way the whole front opens is very practical, it’s waterproof, you can buy it anywhere, it’s not unreasonably expensive. Mix that with some conformity culture and you have your answer.

      Well, as far as I know, it’s waterproof. In Bergen, this is reasonable. As for the other places, I don’t know why.

      Most Norwegians have one of the following:

      * Fjellreven
      * Osprey
      * DB
      * Rains

      If you want a more urban, individualistic backpack from a boutique brand like Bellroy, Aer, Evergoods etc. you need to order it from overseas. Sometimes Nomaden, Chillout and Dapper have different stuff but it seems most people are happy using the same backpack everyone else has.
