The how has been known for a long time. Just need political will. The provinces have to override municipalities because the political will will never exist at the municipal level.
Why can’t they create a second market for first time home buyers, low incomes, Canadian birth millenials etc.
The real estate investors, second home buyers, foreign buyers can keep with the market they enjoy while transitioning back to one market eventually.
Nothing like Deloitte, Aecon and the like coming in and telling us what they need (deregulation for them to profit even more than they already are) to maybe, just maybe, have a little bit of that trickle down.
