Ugh again they go with ethnic cleansing as if there wasn’t any ethnic cleansing of azerbaijanis and their cultural heritage in modern day Armenia

Bribery, Corruption, made-up taxes and stealing financial aid from government.

    3. as a nakhchivani from father side, that place is the best town-vibe place ever in azerbaijan. i wish i went there one more time.

I worked in Naxçıvan for several years. It’s actually a really interesting place. Culturally and linguistically feels more proximal to Turkey than mainland. Epic landscapes, amazing historical sites, welcoming people. It’s quite sleepy and rural so I can’t say much goes on there beyond country life and some military bases. I’ve heard there is some weird nightlife in the city owing to the border with Iran, but it didn’t experience that personally.

    5. Calling Nakhchivan “stolen Armenian land” when they can’t name or give the date of the last Armenian owner of it. (Outside of a very brief military conflict in 1919 where they took effective control). Classic.

I am actually from Nakhchivan and lived my whole life there until recent years, though I still visit from time to time. If you ask me what’s going on over there, I would say not much, because people are pretty much just minding their own business, busy with work, and trying to survive in the given conditions. Truthfully, when I left for university, I thought—and was kind of sure—that I probably wouldn’t be able to use my full potential there. And today, I see that I proved myself right. But I need to highlight one thing tho : whenever I need to recharge and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and the stressful work environment, I turn my head to my hometown. It offers the best conditions to forget any kind of stress and heal.
