You do wonder what more sanctions they have left. Like an abused partner in a relationship
For example, in my simple mind why aren’t all Russian citizens banned from the UK including transiting through Heathrow?
People will claim „What about those wanting to claim asylum?“. Ok, go to a British embassy somewhere in the world and do it there.
It just feels like the victim in an abusive relationship where they make threats to leave, but never do and the abuser knows it.
Let’s not pretend Russia wants peace. They want that land for its arable land, access to the Black Sea, and its raw materials. You might get a ceasefire at best but you are never going to see Russia give up for as long as Putin is in charge.
