Oh I can assure you, for some reason the disabled’s spot at that specific Lidl always has some sort of assholery going on.

They really should put some signs saying that stupidity is not a disability.

So not only did they both take up two spaces each, but they parked on disabled as well.

I think this is the car park my brother had an accident in while we were on holiday, weird for it to pop up on Reddit!

“Not all disabilities are visible”…. This is a clear case of having a space awareness challenge, the only question here is why would they be allowed to legally drive. Cases like these should be followed by a default cancellation of the driving licence, followed by a comprehensive medical and psychological test before being allowed to take a new driving test

Towing them away and heavy fines is the only deterrent

If you’re actually asking, “outsmarting the rules” is a concept firmly rooted in the Cypriot psyche, it’s part of the culture.
A person who parks on the disabled spot isn’t thinking that they’re being inconsiderate or that they’re risking being fined. The thought process is “Whenever I come the disabled spot is empty. I’ll park there and I will spend 5 minutes inside, no one will come.”
Over time this reasoning gets automated in the brain and the person has learned to park at the disabled spot.
The concept of outsmarting the rules stems from a combination of historical, economic and social factors that contribute to an environment where people feel compelled to manipulate norms for personal gain.

Looks like pilots because they used to use line for guidance.
It’s cultural. Cypriots, in general (not all Cypriots, but in general) don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves.
It’s why they park like this.
It’s why they drive like they do (rarely signal, constantly talking on the phone, etc.).
It’s why the country is a trash dump. They don’t care when they throw trash out their car window.
At first I thought it was all southern Europeans. But I just returned from a trip to Portugal, and was shocked at how clear Lisbon was, compared to any major Cypriot town.

It actually takes a lot of extra space to get out of the car with the wheelchair. Unfortunately, I have some experience in it.
