Tbh, I was very against it when it happened because many times what they say and what actually happens is very different.

But I think in this case it is much better.

This is a pic from a couple days ago. There are many more trees, and it seems they have watering systems as well. Obviously they are smaller than the mature ones, but this is only a few years later. They are growing quite fast. Hopefully the forestry dept doesn’t do the usual „cut all the branches off because it’s cheaper“ thing.

I think what they’ve done with makariou and stasikratous and surrounding streets with pedestrianisation, traffic management, access etc is fantastic. It’s so shit they want to shove a bunch of cars that are gonna stink up the place and basically make it worse for everyone (pedestrians, motorists, businesses).
