The proposal is ridiculous. Not only does it not promote competition, it sounds like an attempt to further inconvenience use of Y-Plate taxis by making them virtually inaccessible so that white cabs would have a monopoly.
I avoid white taxis at all costs. They charge way more, and many only accept cash. The worst part is that they charge whatever they want. Always Bolt/Uber or the bus.
I would take a white taxi to the ride hailing stand, just to make them go back to the end of the line.

I would still walk there rather than getting a white taxi. They can fuck off with all their tricks, i will never choose one offer the ride apps.

I’ve had nice white cab drivers. But I’ve also had bad ones. Texting, talking on phone (very loudly), driving way too slow (TOO SLOW!!!) making me miss ferries. Over dozens of trips I’ve had in Bolt, I’ve had a modestly bad experience just once.
Overall, the fuck I care personally. I don’t mind walking 250 meters. Frankly, I’ve taken a white cab once in a while coming from airport, but now I won’t do it out of spite.
