Last year [BC did this for schools](https://blog.gov.bc.ca/app/uploads/sites/808/2024/05/Access_Zones_QA_public.pdf), and previously did it for [hospitals, and vaccination clinics](https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2021PREM0071-002169); and democracy did not collapse. Hell, in BC there’s been a buffer law to protect abortion clinics since 1995.

      I am in favour of buffer zones around schools, places of worship, medical facilities and private residences. Protesting in those locations poses an unacceptable level of harm to the well-being and safety of individuals who _need_ access to those locations.

      > „What is not legitimate is to use the excuse of a foreign war that Toronto Jews did not start, do not control and cannot stop, to intimidate toddlers, school children, [and] people going into a synagogue,“ she said.

      Indeed.

      Suitably notable and disruptive protest can still occur outside of Government buildings, along highways, and marching a parade through downtown. Among many other ways and locations.
