Hallo! Ich kam zum Malta -Sub mit der Hoffnung, Einheimische oder Area -Experten zu bitten, um den Ort dieses Fotos zu ermitteln, das in meinem Großvater (Mitte) im Zweiten Weltkrieg aufgenommen wurde. Er diente in der RAF und war zwischen 1942 und 1944 in Malta (AHQ) stationiert. Es scheint eine Art Kirchen-/Steeple -Struktur hinter seiner linken Schulter zu geben, die ich sich identifizieren wollte. Ich dachte, es könnte St. Pauls anglikanische Pro-Kathedrale sein, aber ich glaube, es sollte irgendwo einen Kuppel am Kirchturm geben, den ich auf dem Foto nicht sehe.
Jede Hilfe, die meinen zusätzlichen Kontext oder Hinweisen geben, wird von mir selbst (und meiner 80 -jährigen Mutter!) Sehr geschätzt.

I’m afraid it’s really hard to say – there’s not enough view of the background and with the amount of churches in Malta it’s hard to pinpoint. What I can say is that there were a number of RAF bases in Malta during that time RAF Ta‘ Qali, Krendi, Safi, Hal Far. Could potentially be ones of these.
Could be near tigne point, valletta, hal far, ta qali, kalkara, mtarfa, red tower area. The area behind them does not seem theres any sea but buildings and a pole. Looks more like an army base so my guesses are either halfar or ta qali but the building behind the centre guy looks its been bombed so valletta is a major candidate.
