Don’t forget the additional associates and deputies also named on top of the shadow ministers in the CPC caucus. This totals 74 roles.
With 143 CPC seats won, this basically helps Poilievre buy support from caucus in the event they enact the Reform Act and push him out. Over 50%. Because the new leader will make these backbenchers useless again, so they will likely vote to keep Poilievre as leader.
Poilievre appoints more critics than ministers to critique. To be fair, it looks like his “shadow cabinet” was even large in 2022. I count 51 critics on that list:

If he has to work that hard to maintain loyalty in his party, his leadership position must be in trouble. He is in a very weak position.
How is he appointing anyone? We elected his ass out of parliament. Please, someone tell him he is unwanted and Please refer to him as the former opposition leader
Keeping Hallan as shadow finance minister shows that he’s learned nothing. A big problem he faced during the campaign was that nobody would take him serious on financial issues compared to Carney, so he needs some kind of a Jim Flaherty figure to give him credit there. Instead, he appoints a no-name who nobody respects. Then again, this was determined when he blocked anybody competent in finance from running for the party. Who needs pesky provincial finance ministers when you’re 25 points ahead in the polls?

Why is an unelected official making party decisions? For people that want to escape accusations about being like those down south this isn’t a good look, let alone seeming hypocritical about all those claims about Carney making unelected decisions.

Is he really about to run all the way to the next election with the same slogans he’s been using for three years (and lost an election on)?
The most interesting thing in this shadow cabinet is a Quebec Lieutenant and a “Special Advisor to British Columbia”.
Interesting that despite being the only MP elected from NS and appointing 73 MPs to this abomination of a shadow cabinet, Poilievre still snubbed D’Entremont. He’s clearly showing that the CPC doesn’t give a damn about NS or Atlantic Canada.
