This is the guy the Establishment Dems put on the Oversight Committee over AOC btw.
Insane this is the legacy they want to leave instead of emboldening and growing the next generation of leaders.

Democrats refuse to change and it’s for the worse. I don’t think many people realize how bad of shape the party is right now.
Democrats are at the weakest they’ve been in over a century. There are only 19 states that lean Democratic to the GOP’s 24. 25 if you count North Carolina which voted Trump all 3 times in the past election. This is almost a guaranteed Senate majority.
Every census group, even the liberal ones, predict that Democrats, specifically California, will lose house seats in the 2030 census and they will probably go to Texas and Florida where they can gerrymander them.
I’m tired of winning by default because of how bad Republicans are. Democrats need to focus on building a new coalition.
The need to do literally do something to not look like the party of the coastal elites.

Democrats ask for millions to elect long shot candidates in Florida for that one more critical House vote. However, they continually support seniority over anything in candidate preference. If you wouldn’t have someone this old flying a plane, they shouldn’t be running a country.

I’m 52. I’ve been working since I was 15 and my dad told me if I didn’t get a job he was kicking me out of the house. Even when times were bad I’d go dig ditches.
You know what I’m doing when I hit 65? Fucking retiring. I’ll take care of my wife and kids. I’ll do projects I’ve wanted to do. Maybe finally play Wizardry 6-8.
But I’m not going to be fucking working. I’ll leave it to the younger generation and if I really think „Oh no but what will they do without me I have to stay there -“
No. If you don’t hand over the reigns, people don’t learn. You have to let go. This man and Pelosi and Trump and Biden and all the other old fucks who just can’t let go need to go the fuck home and let the people who have to actually live the next 20-30 years work to get things ready and then hand it off to the **next** generation.

The DNC has lost twice to a deeply unpopular, cartoonishly evil idiot. They are underwater in polls because of how out of touch and feckless they are as opposition. It doesn’t help that they quash any and all fresh blood to the party that actually IS popular so people like him and Feinstein can die in office to uphold the status quo.
It’s easy and completely accurate to blame Trump and the GOP for accelerating America’s descent into fascism, but the DNC is to a degree guilty of helping them with how embarrassingly bad they have operated.

We need term limits. I don’t care if you stay in government but you need to change roles after 2 or 3 terms depending on the role. These lifers are a drain on taxpayers and no longer represent the people who keep voting for them. All of these fucks need to be primaried hard for each election.
We also need an age limit. I don’t want an 80 year old flying my jumbo jet, why the fuck would I want one running my country.
These are bipartisan issues and easy wins but the entrenched politicians will never let it happen.
There needs to be a ceiling such that you cannot run for office if you will be 70 or older at inauguration
