    1. This sort of thing just shows how performative his 25 hour speech was. This is why people are so fed up with the Democrats right now. They claim resistance and then turn around and confirm Trump’s picks.

We need to fight the fascist wannabes, not compromise with them.

And this is why I laugh when Centrist Democrats were oohing and ahhing over his recent landmark speech. You can’t claim resistance and then go and vote for Trump’s nominee.

    3. It should be complete obstructionism to everything these maniacs want to do. EVERYTHING. Give them zero votes o anything. Booker does this big filibuster and then votes for the morons appointees. This is our defense against rising fascism? The country’s already lost if this is what we’re working with.

    4. SubliminallyCorrect on

Same reason he broke the filibuster record while obstructing zero legislation and confirmed a trump appointee directly after

    5. Real answer?

Because Kushner Senior is a major real estate player in NJ. I am dead certain Kushner buildings went up during Booker’s tenure as Newark mayor.

Because once again, they try to be the “bigger man” while the rest of us get fucked. Nice filibuster. Fuck you man.

    7. Its because were all being fooled by actors and Kayfabe bullshit political entertainment. The only solution may be to elect people who have real jobs. Lawyers, entrepreneurs and CEO’s are trained actors, who use theater to convince us they do something valuable. With few exceptions, these are the people leading our country into the ground

    8. He’s probably paid by the same billionaires as the GOP. No faith in any of the dems at this point. They make a lot of noise but when it comes to fighting the good fight they do what benefits themselves and the oligarchs.

The Kushner family is very close to Booker, iirc the dad gave him money for some of his campaigns at one point

    10. So the filibuster was theater to pretend he is doing something? Didn’t Kushner’s dad go to jail for framing someone with a sex worker?

Money. Big donor money. It’s kinda the reason Cory Booker seems to do anything

The Kushners gave money to Corey Booker’s campaign a decade ago, I believe

      Money
      Money
      Money
      And
      Money

The trump era has blown the doors off of Washington and politicians. They do not care about you, they do not care about your cause. They only work and exist to enrich themselves…And their benefactors.

    14. Cuz he’s another centrist plant, like every other status quo shill that lives inside the Democratic Party.

    15. The most unworthy people are being brought into the heights of American power.

      This timeline sucks.

    16. The nomination process has always been seen as a civil affair, where unless there are like criminal concerns, the president gets their nominee. Now the game has changed, even if the democrats don’t understand that, I fully expect that when/if there is a democratic president, they will absolutely block the shit out if the nominees

Just another collaborator who needs to be removed from office. Vote him out.

People have been pointing out hes a cuck for a few months now. His grandstanding was nothing when he doesn’t follow what he says.

    19. Cory Booker is corrupt, and this proves it. Kushner helped fund his mayoral campaign two decades ago, so now the senator is paying him back. Booker was the only Democrat to vote for this convicted criminal.

Oh, sure, Cory made a big deal out of his filibuster because it was on TV. His vote to confirm Kushner will only be known to those who follow politics closely, and he knows it. He makes a big show when he knows people will see it, and he behaves like a typical, corrupt politician when he thinks he can get away with it.

I hope he faces a primary challenger, and I hope he loses. Right now, Democrats should be obstructing everything Trump wants—on principle. This vote would have been easy; just vote no on the convicted criminal’s nomination, but Booker couldn’t do it.

He’s not right for this era. Dump his ass, New Jersey.

Because booker is a poser and they plan to shove him down our throats next election

    21. Corey Booker left that 1 room apartment in Newark, and has been establishment ever since.

Why did 1/3 of the U.S. vote for a felon/rapist/narcissist/pathological liar/sociopath/idiot for president?
