    1. As long as he is still getting bribes he doesn’t really care what happens. And the GOP are obviously raking it in too.

Trump campaigned endlessly on killing the US economy and somehow got enough votes to do that. He is losing the trade battle. He is deporting legal immigrants and going after people with student visas. He hasn’t stopped Russia from attacking Ukraine. Oh yeah and he made enemies out of our previous allies. It only took a few months.

    3. >Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, meanwhile, brushed off the score downgrade as a “lagging indicator” of U.S. performance, urging investors to disregard the news.

Exactly. It’s not the bad credit score. It’s the **36 trillion dollars in debt that caused the bad credit score** you got to pay attention to.

Kind of like the collections call you receive is a lagging indicator of your trip to Las Vegas last year.

As far as killing a major nation’s economy, it doesn’t look slow, it looks like a historically unprecedented speed-run to me.

    5. There is usually a 1 year lag between a yield curve and a recession. So early 2026.

A very well researched, extremely well presented documentary was made, way back in 1991, you can find it and watch it free if you search for it on YouTube. It’s called ‚Trump-What’s the Deal?‘.

Very sobering to watch. 1991. They tried to warn us in 1991 about how unhinged bizzarro and completely idiotic Trump was with his finances. Trump’s casino failure does not begin to describe any of it.

To think that he is president, and somebody to be trusted, is just insanity.

This is all leading to the dollar not being the world reserve currency and once that happens we’re completely screwed. This is self-inflicted chaos.

Fuck you, Deutche Bank. If it weren’t for your money laundering and support of tRump, he wouldn’t be an issue.

I predict it will be about 2-3 years from now when the economy is irrefutably f-ed up and Trump’s line will be “who could have known this wouldn’t have worked” and blames any number of people working for him for giving him bad advice.

    10. Meanwhile, Congress is just watching, gleefully and not a care in the world. For a party whose platform was „America First“, they sure are running our country into the ground faster than anything else.

    11. Anyone with the power to stop him has no problems with it. These confirmation bias articles are so tiring. This is what EVERYONE said would happen during the election.

No one in power is doing anything to stop him.

    12. Thanks for all the warnings. We know.

The bigger problem is that nobody who can do anything is doing anything, at least not effectively.

Unfortunately, it’s looking like it will take a revolution to stop and reverse the actions he’s taking.

    13. Okay stupid games win stupid prizes.

USA elected a felon conman and Russian asset.

      USA is in permanent decline.

    14. Remember Duetche bank was the only lender who would lend tfg money for decades.

No surprise here. Every economist warned him that it’s been tried before ( President Hoover) and it failed miserably. Republican President wasn’t vote in for over 20 yrs because of its colossal failure…and yes almost everything got way more expensive

    16. Well he’s wrecked tourism, which is 3% of the GDP. He’s wrecked farming, which is another 1%. And he’s doing his best to destroy retail, which is our biggest economic driver, so…

    17. America_Is_Fucked_ on

Aren’t they the fuckers that kept him solvent enough to get to this point in the first place?

“Experts warn“ is just code for „people who actually know what they’re talking about are getting tired of explaining things to you”
