This sort of horrific crime always makes me think of this comic. I do believe anyone who does something like this while old enough to understand it’s wrong should be banned from owning pets for life and put on some kind of watchlist for good measure.
If you’re depraved enough to do this to a tiny baby animal, all bets are off as to who else you might be able to hurt.

They should be named so all can see what they are truly like. If young people are old enough to commit such despicable acts then they are old enough to be named. I hope they get locked up and given psychiatric support so that this doesn’t happen again or escalate to something worse 😞
When my eldest Son was about Five or Six years old we were in the garden at his Grannies house and he accidentally stood on a snail.
We heard the crunch and he saw the squished Snail.
He was heartbroken, it took me an age to calm him down, we actually had to have a burial with a little cardboard coffin, words said and he painted a rock as a grave marker.
I can’t imagine having given birth to these animals.

Bastards. People capable of doing this to animals will eventually graduate to doing serious harm to people.
Give them a few years and they will be on trial for murder. The question will then be „What could we have done to prevent this?“
