      i’ve only recently learned about Hasan, but given these comments he seems pretty polarizing. the negative comments seem a bit *too* excessive- and it’s making me think there’s more going on than it seems.

      Hasan essentially advocated for his followers withholding voting for the Democrats.
      If you did not vote, you voted for Trump – end of. Whether you chose to not turn up on the day or whether you did and voted for Trump, you supported Trump.

      There was only one viable political opposition to Trump, it was the democrats. Again – Hasan essentially advocated for a Trump vote.
      I agree with this particular sentiment that I heard : that Hasan is the worst thing to ever happen to the Palestinians. If Palestine was your number one issue – you were an absolute fool if you did not vote for Kamala.

      This is without even mentioning the Abrego Garcia travesty and the other deportations. Thanks Hasan.

      He’s not wrong though. Dems always just kind of sit back and hope things work out. Meanwhile the other side is out there doing whatever they want.

      Here’s the thing, I AM angry, now what? I am not asking to be a dick, I’m genuinely asking. Write my congressmen? Done (also I’m in NY, they „oppose“ trump, although not like they’re being all that effective, also fuck Schumer). Protest? Done. Try and sway oppinions of others? I mean at this point its a cult, I feel genuinely unable, but, I’ll still argue till I’m blue in the face with the opportunity arrises. I won’t just give in. But seriously, other than take an action thats going to be useless, wreckless and land me in prison, what else can I do? GENUINELY asking. I feel like nothing effective is being done, nothing for me to latch on to and help. All of our leaders seem complicate, or ineffective.

      No, Hasan should not be speaking on behalf of the party. His politics and perspective are a sure way to give republicans full access to the government.

      Hasan isn’t a democrat, he’s, in the most literal way, a tankie and personification of “America bad”.

      Tell me if Democrats would openly say that they don’t have any problems with the Houthis raiding ships and kidnapping people for a year. That America deserved 9/11. That the streets should run with the blood of landowners. Laughing at Israeli and rich white women getting raped. Denying the rapes of October 7. The list goes on and on.

      We should be focusing on propelling and making leaders out of existing Democratic figures (Pete, Andy Beshear, AOC, Shapiro, Whitmer) rather than giving the spotlight to a person like this. He brings nothing to the party, he will actually tell you not to vote for elections.

      I think we need to stop calling everyone Democrats. This is a group of independents and a few old school conservatives too. Call me crazy but I get the feeling the younger generation doesn’t want to be boxed into being a democrat, just because they are on the other side of the big orange shiny man. We need a name for opposite MAGA. Where we can all come together and fight the evil.

      Why not beg all Americans to ‚get angry‘ and oppose fascism?

      Is it because more than two thirds failed to oppose fascism when it was easy last November, and now that the fascists control the federal government it is going to be much, much harder? So the people unwilling to do the easy thing are not likely to do the hard thing so why waste time begging those folks?

      Been angry . It’s the Dems in congress with their heads up their asses . They ignored trump the whole time he was running, and when they did say something, it was trashing Biden or Harris . Why didn’t we have 250+ of them, strongly and loudly defending and supporting them ?

      Comment section is full of people that read headlines about Hasan but never checked his actual words. He streams for 9 hours a day, those with bad intentions to misrepresent can clip him out of context endlessly because of it. Also all the right wing influencers are coming at him hard right now, so beware what you hear.
