This bill is horrifying.

The good news is Trump voters are so fucked.

The bad news is so is everyone else.

What are you trying to hide Mike? If it really was nothing big, why can’t you tell us?

These changes are going to end up being terrible. So many people are going to be hurt by this travesty.

>Democrats on the panel pressed for more details about the changes that Republicans had agreed to in the private negotiations. But Rep. Jodey Arrington, the chairman of the House Budget Committee, said he could not do so.

Not only will this likely kick over 8 million people (or more now) off Medicaid, resulting in many, many unnecessary deaths and tremendous suffering, it will do irrepairable harm to the country. This isn’t a budget bill. It is a remaking of how the government functions giving all power to the Executive.

They are trying hide a lot of unpalatable other changes in those estimated 1100 pages. If these changes are allowed to be included (many of which are simply not allowed to be in a reconciliation bill) it will in all but name make Trump a king. This is the „unsexy“ stuff that doesn’t grab headlines, but can really break things.

The only hope is the Senate Parlimentarian throws it out and they don’t just ignore or fire them.

The „Alt National Park Service“ account provided this list (this was before the changes, goodness knows now):

* Closure of the U.S. Department of Education
* 25% expansion of logging in national forests, bypassing environmental reviews and fast-tracking timber production
* Rollbacks on clean energy incentives, cutting tax credits for EVs and renewables, gutting key climate provisions
* More public lands opened up for drilling, mining, and logging, with royalty breaks for fossil fuel companies
* Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, ending U.S. participation in global climate efforts
* Executive Order 14215, forcing independent federal agencies to follow White House legal interpretations and centralizing authority under the presidency
* Pension changes for federal workers hired before 2014, cutting take-home pay by raising required contributions, reducing future payouts, and eliminating early retirement supplements
* REINS Act-style regulation repeal, where major federal rules expire unless Congress re-approves them every 5 years allowing Trump to quietly erase protections without rewriting laws
* Expanded executive control over agency budgets, allowing the White House to move federal funds internally without explicit congressional approval
* Restoration of impoundment powers, giving Trump the ability to block or delay spending already passed by Congress reviving powers stripped after Watergate
* Creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), placing White House–aligned teams inside every federal agency with access to internal systems and influence over hiring and daily operations
* Sharp cuts in regulatory enforcement, with agencies like the EPA, CFPB, and Labor and Transportation Departments halting enforcement of key safety, environmental, and anti-discrimination rules
* Trump’s personal control over economic policy, strengthening his power to direct tariffs, pressure private companies, and dictate pricing with little resistance treating the U.S. economy like his own business

This bill isn’t just “big.” It’s a roadmap for dismantling oversight, hollowing out federal protections, and handing Trump sweeping, unchecked control. Read the fine print.

People are going to die. I hope none of my loved ones are any of them.

Like I said from the start, this bill is going to pass. And it’s going to be harsher than the first version.

The „next Moses“ Mike Johnson swores that it’s just „minor modifications.“ Give me a break HYPOCRITE!

The hypocrisy doesn’t matter because they know exactly what this will do to people.

This is class warfare and we as a whole have barely managed to notice, much less fight back. They’ve infiltrated the government and are turning it against us by giving themselves the authority to destroy all the things that we rely on to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

By the time they are done, we will be significantly poorer and more desperate for even the most basic things we take for granted. We will be without the means or ability to seek any adequate medical treatment which we will need even more because all the things that maintain our health and/or protect our health have been defunded or eliminated.

Naturally, this will make us too weak, depressed, and hopeless to even think of fighting back. 2025 is absolutely NOTHING like any year America has experienced, this isn’t the time to sit back and consider any of this normal or sustainable.

Unless you want to regress to the lifestyle of the average North Korean and have it remain for generations, get out there and make some fucking noise, protest, and don’t let all America has fought for fall because of some insecure, nepobaby oligarchs who were never taught the concept of ‘enough.’

This bill will cause the debt and bonds to rise even more. This is bad news

The people who bitched the loudest about the debt are adding trillions to it.

I’m going to have to give serious consideration to getting rid of my possessions – along with another drastic step. I’ve been trying to live with a failed back fusion which every professional I’ve seen has been mum about and danced around. In other words, I’ve LONG suspected it failed and have just had to live with crippling back pain and dimished control over bathroom habits – all while being sent home to deal with the issue with „rest“ and follow-ups. I lose Medicaid, I lose the only avenue I have to POSSIBLY getting a revision, and, in all likelihood, ANOTHER fusion at the level above it. And that’s just so I can sit upright without feeling pain, and to be able to go to the bathroom normally. And, fortunately for me, my issues are so specific that they do not quality me for SSI.

Simply put, my life is no longer sustainable by any metric.

Guaranteed this passes through Congress. We are in the midst of witnessing the greatest transfer of power and wealth in recent history.

Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” passed the House Budget Committee tonight — the vote was 17 to 16 — after four conservative holdouts voted “present“. Next it’ll go to the rules committee and will then go to the floor this week.

Trump said three weeks ago this is what people voter for. They should be reminded.
