I believe this is a big issue in many Eastern MA. cities and towns with many municipalities‘ police refusing to aid ICE in their investigations and arrests.
This is very very close to turning violent. Someday very soon, one of these ICE agents is going to get shot or over run and all hell is going to break loose.
These people have nothing to lose. They’re being denied due process and it’s going to be a life or death situation.
Some of these officers *have* to feel this is wrong.

Interesting, I went to a community meeting here in southern California where LAPD told me local law enforcement is not aware of, nor will assist with, nor will intervene with ICE activity in the city.
Am I surprised to hear they are now working together? Of course not. I wonder how long until that policy change reaches us out west.
The irony of seeing „audio redacted to protect the identity of a minor“ on a video where they are illegally arresting a minor is surreal.
Did the local police demand to see the warrant as a number of protestors were asking to see it? If not, the local police that aided ICE should be charged/sued for aiding and abetting an illegal kidnapping.

The cops should not have responded to the ice request for assistance. States that are against this type of deportation need to inform the ice agents they will need to provide their own backup if things get out of hand. It’s not the city cops job to assist criminals.
