It’s smart, lots of celebs have gone broke and been left with high cost of living condos and mansions they could no longer afford.

My husband’s grandfather was a millionaire but he lived quite modestly, you would never have known he had much money at all. He didn’t go out and buy the newest model of everything and his house was a medium sized farmhouse. He was still using equipment from the 50s he could have easily afforded to upgrade. And he never wanted for anything after retirement.

Nobody seems to have trouble understanding that she wouldn’t literally have $1 million in her pocket but will get hung up on $1500 rent. *Mortgage! Not rent! Good luck finding a place that cheap!*

    3. Yeah Sydney Sweeney bought a huuuge mansion in LA after euphoria then we all saw her doing random promos and ads to keep up that lifestyle. You can’t just maintain, you have to think ahead.

Keke must have $10 million in her pocket if she thinks she’d be willing to live in a $1500 month apartment in LA or NYC.

Badass. I was looking at apartments in my area. One that’s like 1000 a month looks nice and has a dryer and washer inside.

Honestly wouldn’t mind living there if I could afford it. So I can only imagine how nice a 1500 dollar apartment would look

    6. Outside of a very elite few (Tom cruise, Brad Pitt), most famous people see their pay decrease as they age. If she wants to build generational wealth, this is the way.

    7. In what entertainment industry city could you actually do that? It would be a stretch even in B or C list entertainment cities like Nashville, Atlanta or New Orleans.

Lotta people mad that she’s not being praised for this but the reality is that folks who are struggling in this economy aren’t all that interested in hearing millionaires talk about money problems.

This is the way, our mortgage is 12.5% of our take home. We were approved for so much more but it would have been incredibly risky

    10. Living below your means is incredibly smart, but damn it, girl, leave the $1500 rent for those of us making below $60,000

    11. Hopefully she has more than a million in her pocket, because $1500 doesn’t go very far.
