>Chris Brown was ordered to remain in custody on the “extremely serious” charges related to an alleged nightclub attack in February 2023, a London judge ruled at a bail hearing Friday.
On Thursday morning, Brown was arrested in Manchester, England on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm in connection to the incident where the singer allegedly beat a music producer Amadou “Abe” Diaw with a tequila bottle and then stomped on him, resulting in a hospitalization and, later, a $16 million lawsuit related to the attack.

>Despite Brown’s lawyer arguing that Brown wasn’t a flight risk, Judge Joanne Hirst rejected his bail request at a hearing Friday and ordered that he remain in custody until his next hearing on June 13 in London, the Associated Press reports.

>The judge’s ruling jeopardizes Brown’s planned 20th anniversary tour of the U.K. and Europe, as the singer was scheduled to begin that trek on June 8 in Amsterdam, five days before his next hearing; June 13 also coincides with Brown’s planned concert in Frankfurt, Germany.

Not a flight risk, and planning on leaving the country in the same sentence seems strange.
