    1. > „Conan was the best thing for me,“ Silverman said while she discussed being fired from Saturday Night Live in an interview with SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. The Wreck-It Ralph star explained how O’Brien’s frequent invitations to appear on Late Night helped her stay afloat when her time at Studio 8H didn’t pan out as she’d hoped. „That was his first year [on Late Night], was my first and only year at SNL. And he put me on all the time, even after I was fired, all the time, and that was the start for me.“

      > „And I wouldn’t have been able to be on [Late Night with] Conan without SNL,“ she continued. „And it was an incredible kind of boot camp experience.“

      > Elsewhere in the interview, the comedian explained her conflicted feelings about SNL, where she worked for the 1993-1994 season as a writer.

      > „It’s so magical, it’s so amazing, but there is just something about it where they just have this energy that puts you in your place where you feel like a piece of s—, and you’re terrified,“ she said. „The anxiety — it’s very hard to be zen and chill there.“
