I think the question has to be asked – why is Guilbeault commenting on environmental issues when he was removed from that portfolio for a reason? He is just needlessly antagonizing the west at this point, and stepping out of line/out of his lane. Carney really needs to tell him to stay in his lane and STFU on the environment/energy file.
Even somebody opposed to further pipelines for deeply ideological reasons has to acknowledge than Enbridge Line 5 operating at the whim of the American president while the State of Michigan actively seeks its abandonment is not a tolerable situation.
The Biden administration was just sane enough to tell Michigan to kick rocks, the next Democratic president could be one of the crazy chicks who committed herself to shutting it down.
