      This seems like it could have been handled better simply by slapping a Top Secret classification on it and burying it forever. Even better, Gabbard could have held on to it so when the trials start she’ll have evidence that she and her team advised the President of the discrepancy between his rhetoric and reality.

      Man, this seems like some dangerous rot. Any time you have an organization that fires dissenters at the top, especially ones that may have been there for some time, it sends a chill through the rest of the org and starts to rewrite the rules and norms. In very short order, you get to the point where no one will give you their honest assessment, and your effectiveness starts to weaken dramatically.
