Honestly, if I didn’t think that putting a third woman candidate up was the Chinese definition of insanity, I’d vote for AOC in a heartbeat.

      >“They’ve asked us to read this bill, and we have. This bill bans the people that they kick off of Medicaid from even buying their own insurance from the Affordable Care Act exchange,” Ocasio-Cortez continued, adding that the bill “increases costs for people they do deem eligible and who are low income and forces them to pay even more.”

      >Ocasio-Cortez noted that people on private insurance wouldn’t be escaping consequences, either.

      >“And if you have a private insurer, don’t worry, you’re getting screwed over too. Because your health care premiums are going to skyrocket from the disaster that is happening from this bill,” the New York congresswoman added.

      >Ocasio-Cortez is correctly pointing out House Republicans’ budget plan will gut a social program that millions of Americans depend on, while also taking aim at the GOP bogeyman of Obamacare. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 8.6 million people will lose access to Medicaid, while millions more will lose health insurance by 2034 as other protections expire. Far from being a “big beautiful bill,” as Trump claims, it will worsen the quality of life for Americans who don’t have any other health care options.

      >The bill also punishes single parents by making it harder to receive the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as food stamps, and gives President Trump unprecedented power over nonprofit organizations.

This is scary as hell. If you get kicked off Medicaid, you are banned from buying in the marketplace? WTF. Seriously, as someone on Medicaid who needs healthcare coverage to literally keep me alive, this scares the shit out of me. I mean, I’d literally have no insurance options since my job doesn’t provide it. And there will be millions more like me. WTF are we supposed to do for healthcare?

As she points out, this will affect Healthcare?

      Edit to fix a word

Man, she sounds smart, she should have some sort of spot on a committee, maybr one in charge of oversight.

So just keep going to the ER for literally anything, and never pay the 30,000$ bill.

      Got it. Cool.

To answer your question “WTF are we supposed to do for healthcare?”: MAGA leaders are just creating their big beautiful world where weak and sick are eliminated. If you don’t have the money, you’re expected to die, and your children will be illiterate serfs for their lords (no education, libraries, research…).

We are supposed to somehow survive till mid terms in 26 and general elections in 28. We can’t allow repetition of the mistake of those Democrats who did not vote for Kamala and gifted us this.

Tears apart, slams, exposed. You definitely use very pompous words for a party who is unable to ACTUALLY do something about the orange idiot and his cult who not only disrupt your country but the global politics. Aren’t you guys supposed to own guns in order to protect the constitution against a tyrannical king? What a bunch of nothing.

    7. Psh – sure Republicans have made a few missteps lately, but overall it’s not hurting ***ME***. I’m sure *this time* AOC and Bernie are just over reacting. Everything will be fine!!!

There will be a MASSIVE increase in unpaid uninsured emergency visits (cannot deny urgent medical care) that will be covered by private insurance (if hospital even survives). AOC is right — mddle class will bear the brunt of these medicare costs via higher premiums. To make sure the rich get their stupid tax cuts. Fuck you Bezos. Fuck you Zuck. Fuck you Tim Apple. Fuck you Leon.

Can anyone explain the part of the bill that bans people from buying from the affordable care act and the reasoning behind it? Can’t find into anywhere
