    1. From Kate Plummer:

The $400 million gift has drawn legal and ethical scrutiny, with critics arguing that it could violate constitutional gift rules and that it could amount to foreign influence.

Members of Trump’s own party joining the calls to reject the plane shows the extent to which the matter is controversial and is not mere partisanship. Trump may reconsider accepting it in order to maintain party unity.

I know they are looking into it and are very concerned. If this was Biden he would be impeached by now and the republicans would be holding meetings televised on Fox News 24X7.

      Nah…..they aren’t.

It’s the usual „we’ll make some noise about it to appease them“ nonsense….

    4. They were also breaking with him on Jan 6th, but then came back in line behind Trump. There is no bottom with Trump until this country is broken and not repairable.

    5. BlotchComics on

I’m sure Susan Collins will furrow her brow and say „it’s very concerning“… and then do nothing.

Until they actually do something, no, they aren’t. They’re just making placating noises at the public because they aren’t shameless enough to wear their greed on their sleeves as Donald does.

    7. Outrageous-Pause6317 on

He would never forgive them and relentlessly attempt to get even. They won’t ever break with him.

    8. Alvarez_Hipflask on

I think we’ve been told republicans are breaking from Trump for a hundred reasons now.

The Supreme Court has already invalidated an entire Amendment (14th) just to appease President Stable Genius.

Up next, 5 justices will do the same thing to the Emolument Clause.

They will regroup once they decide on a talking point or if they can’t do that they will call us out for still talking about it in a week

Tinfoil hat conspiracy time: Qatar are making a big fuss about this to make Trump look bad and he’s not bright enough to realise.

They must have forgotten he’s a king. The gold applied to the marble mantle in the Oval Office should be a regular reminder. I’m remembering other rulers who flouted their opulence while their citizens — who weren’t a part of the oligarchy — lived lives of austerity. It never eventually ended well for them Maybe while Trump’s looking through history books on rulers with the most lavish lifestyles — to garner some decorating ideas — he could read some of the words about how the regimes ended. It’s never too late to redeem yourself, Trump.

    13. Maybe 3 or 4 total.

Most maggots: “When I become rich and famous, countries will give me a plane too.”

To hear the talking heads on TV tell it, MAGA has no problem with Trump accepting what the rest of us easily understand as a bribe; they’re so stupid they think he’s just „smart“ for doing so. 5D Go Fish or some shit.

In the span of the same few minutes, they’ll also tell you that the South African racists being given citizenship status yesterday has nothing to do with their skin color, that they’re actually escaping genocide, etc.

MAGA is a warped cult based less in reality and more on POtuS‘ latest dumb whim and greed, and they’ll happily watch him destroy their beloved ‚Merica and blame it on anyone else.

    15. AdCharacter7966 on

What an evidence this is. Trump has no clue about what a bribe is. He can not see anything wrong in receiving a bribe. He does that all the time

    16. Not enough. This should be an immediately impeachable offense. It is naked corruption.

    17. Imagine if Obama/Biden were given a gift of a Cessna 172 (Google it if you don’t know what it looks like), from any country on Earth. Republican gonna filing impeachment before weekend. And yell from the top of their lung 24/7 in Fox and OAN.

    18. It’s drawn scrutiny – nothing beyond that.

They will never truly break from Trump. They will say it’s disappointing or not even go that far and then do nothing.

    19. I don’t know what this guy has to do for GOP to condemn him. There are a lot of policies that average Reagan Republican would never agree on with Trump. Ukraine policy, absolutely incompetent Hegseth, Witkoff, Gabard and others. Those talks in Signal. Lawlessness of elon’s DOGE, tariffs and so on. The reason is that people who elect them admire Trump and if they say anything against him, they will either lose a lot of supporters and becime Trump’s enemies. Sounds like a dictatorship because it is one

A meltdown is not somebody saying „well this doesn’t look super great.“
But then again congress hasn’t done anything at all this year.

    21. MaxPower303 on

This isn’t journalism. Downvote this! This is the reason we’re on the hole we are in. Paying attention to clickbait articles that lie just like Trump.

    22. It’s like who’s turn in the Republican barrel this week to break or oppose trump.

    23. Not because he got a plane, but because he got a plane from muslims.

And even then, as others pointed out, they actually aren’t upset about it, but they see it polls well to pretend to be.

    24. Few-Counter7067 on

They’re not even hearing about it. And when/if they do, it will have so much spin on it that they will think it’s a great thing. Meanwhile, federal workers can’t even accept a free meal at McDonalds for fear of bias.

    25. Candle-Jolly on

No they’re not. Shut up. They will suck this mans’s mushroom tip until he and it shrivel up and die.

    26. Na, at most they came up for a breath of semi fresh non-turd filled air before returning to the lip lock position upon his toadstool.
