Well the bank didn’t have access to his medical records so I’m not sure why it’s such a prominent point on the article.

Not sure why him having cancer has anything to do with it

Assuming he isnt doing illegal activity with his bank account, a bank doesnt have to provide their services, and appealing wont change that. Annoying as it is, just switch to another bank

„Banks cannot go into detail over account closures if they suspect “fraudulent or other criminal activity” and urged people to contact the Financial Ombudsman who will assess if the decision has been “unfair and unreasonable”.

If the banks messed up, he should be compensated fairly. If he engaged in fraud, he has to bear the cost of hi actions. Hopefully, it’s the former. That said I wouldn’t wish cancer on anyone, so hope he can have some quality of life, whatever that might mean for him.

    4. It’s frustrating for customers but a bank cannot tell a customer if they suspect fraudulent activity. You just have to wait for the investigation to be completed.
