Attorney General Pam Bondi’s links to Qatar are under scrutiny again following reports that President Donald Trump will be gifted a luxury plane from the Qatari government.

Bondi worked as a foreign lobbyist for the nation of Qatar, earning $115,000 a month in the role which she held in 2020 and in the run up to the World Cup in 2022.

In this role, she lobbied Congress on behalf of Qatari interests. She also worked in a separate lobbying position for the Washington, D.C.-based firm Ballard Partners, where she also lobbied on behalf of Qatari interests and several conglomerates including Amazon.

The level of blatant corruption in this administration is truly staggering.

Yes, I’m sure the Justice Dept will get right on that. Who runs that dept again?

Thats not just sketchy, its a serious red flag for ethics and national security.

    5. This whole plane thing isn’t on the up and up? I am so surprised. I assumed Qatar was just being friendly. Doesn’t every president get to take a few billion with them when they leave? Next people will start to question the resort Trump wants to put there.

      Wait a minute…..There might be a connection.

Look, if you just presume **all** Trump’s supporters are either

      1. dumb as rocks, or
      2. racist as hell, or
      3. Greedy and self-interested as hell

Then you have 95% of them figured out.

IMHO #3 is the worst as it relies on the ignorance of the other two to benefit themselves.

    7. I been the entire administration is blatantly corrupt and don’t give a fuck anymore

She was paid $115,000 per MONTH to lobby for Qatar.

She also was paid $60,000 by GEO, a private prison mogul, who’s largest customer today is… ICE!

Clear conflict of interest, blatant corruption, daily fascist talking points, and on top of it all she’s a little bitch.

      Hey Congress,

Woulda been great if you’d looked into this shit BEFORE confirming this corrupt piece of shit

This just makes me think they will go super hard cheating or just refusing to leave when there’s a huge blue wave in 2026. They know they’d all be investigated and arrested

another one who’d look good in an orange jumpsuit… The Executive branch could have their own Orange is the New Black spin off

      Bondi and Trump should face impeachment and removal. This is a clear violation of the emulation clause;

The Foreign Emoluments Clause (art. I, § 9, cl. 8):
„[No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.“

    13. FizzgigsRevenge on

I mean good, but didn’t Qatar give Trump’s son in law like a billion dollars during Trump’s last administration? Maybe he close Bondi not bc she was an in for Qatar but because she and he have the same financiers?

    14. I had a boss in DC who is a right wing media personality that was being investigated for being the middleman between high power people and various governments, specifically Qatar. Now they are doing it outright and no one will take issue.

    15. inquisitive_guy_0_1 on

I just learned this morning that she was being paid $115,000 a *month* to lobby for Qatar from 2019 to 2024.

She was literally registered as a foreign agent for Qatar.

      Absolutely staggering conflict of interest.

      >scrutiny over Trump’s luxury plane gift

How about some scrutiny over her obfuscation of the Epstein file release? Who’s she covering for there I wonder?…

    17. iceflame1211 on

The plane gift is a classic, textbook example of a violation of the foreign emoluments clause of the constitution.

And it doesn’t matter to any elected Republicans.

So many blatant signals that the democracy that once was the United States of America, is clearly over.

Trump receive a 400 million gift from China’s ally Qatar and the very next day the tariffs to China drop

      O K

    19. InitiativeOutside951 on

Good thing she is young. She’ll be able to serve a nice long prison sentence eventually.

    20. “Under scrutiny “. Sure thing. I’m sure there will be another letter from Chuck Schumer with very VERY strong words this time. That’ll show em.

    21. The AG that wouldn’t indict Epstein has links to the country that is openly bribing the President? Stop. It. Too much winning.

    22. JustAzConfusedAzYou on

Bondi helped Qatar who are known for human rights violations and human trafficking.

Now Trump easily accepts a personal gift from such a country, which should come as no surprise to anyone.

Without a doubt, cases related to Qatar in the US will be affected.

    23. So naturally the ex lobbyist for Qatar writes the legal opinion that their personal gift to the President of the United States is legal despite the emoluments clause. This is not corruption on the sly, this is in your face, what ya gonna do about it, huh?

    24. I know that people want „progress“ and want dems to try to pass bold things when they get in office. But, honestly, the election in 2026 and 2028 should be about holding all of these fucking people responsible. Mitch McConnell and then Merrick Garland severely fucked this country. It is clear that nobody with power in government or the corporate world believes that Democrats will use any of their power to hold powerful people accountable.

We need to. In fact we have to, before anything can be accomplished. Biden spent 4 years trying to get major legislation passed and help working people and the environment. In one election, most of it will be undone completely by 2028, and the number of crimes being committed continues to rise. Democrats need to start using their power when they have it, and they need to make corporate donors, the mega rich, and corrupt MAGA officials actually fear it if this is ever going to stop.

How the hell far do they have to look. I’m really getting sick of this shit.

    28. Over on the conservative sub they are pushing that it’s not Qatar giving Trump a plane that’s the scandal it’s Boeing not making a new Air Force One for eight years, they refused to acknowledge that a $400 million plane that is gonna cost $2 billion retrofit is being given to Trump that he’s going to keep after he leaves office, completely sidesteps that to say that Boeing is the real issue.

    29. farnswoth-fury69 on

I’m amazed at how MAGA was going apeshit over the NEVER PROVEN $22million back room deal Hunter Biden supposedly made that he & Joe supposedly pocketed….YET….the trump administration accepts a $400 million dollar GIFT from Qatar and NOT A PEEP! It’s an ILLEGAL GIFT!

    30. RSMeansPimp on

Yeah but you don’t know what you are talking about. Have you ever played golf? You always take the put or something lol I don’t know what the president was actually referring too.
