Let’s stop focusing on race and gender and get an impressive candidate through a fair primary process. Donors can support who they want.

I’d vote for Crockett or AOC in a heartbeat.
The safest white boy would be Newsom, who is clearly pivoting to the center to appease those who might have concerns. And this is the problem with the Democratic Party after 2008. They continue to pre-pick the candidate in reaction to Obama surprising Clinton, they do not value an open primary, and it becomes a coronation instead of a competition.

I don’t like it, I voted for both Hillary and Kamala, and I think we’re overdue for a woman president, but the fact of the matter is that if democrats want a shot at winning in 2028 (provided we even have elections anymore by then) they need to run a „safe white man“

Might be Pete Buttigieg. He is in front of the camera a lot and comes across as really smart and levelheaded. He’s also likable

If it takes a cookie-cutter, pasty-face white boy to be elected and pass laws that actually fix our country and ensure equitable and fair treatment for everyone, then elect a fucking cookie-cutter, pasty-face white boy.
Seriously, at the end of the day, a very large part of our country is racist and bigoted. And we still need have to appease enough of them to peel off and elect someone who will actually fix things and make sure the trains run on time.

Chris Murphy has been doing amazing things not only around the Social Media and News but on the Ground Floor aswell. I like what I see in him.
I have the biggest mixed feelings about this. I really want to see a female president, and a female of color would be amazing. It breaks my heart that there’s never been a female president. That is seriously messed up.
But I’m also worried that a female candidate can’t win, and especially not a female candidate of color.
Yet if I say that, am I perpetuating sexism and racism while claiming to be against them???
