It will cost the US taxpayers $400 million to upfit the plane to be used as AF1. The classified upfitting will also be removed in 2029 and transferred to Trumps library, also at the cost of the taxpayers.

    2. More sainewashing. It’s not a gift to the United States if trump plans to keep it for himself. That’s a bribe.

I hope they included a maintenance gift. Those planes are maintenance hogs

Not reported that way on Fox News…So 70+ million viewers don’t know. Then again… Would they care?

Yes… and, according to Pam Bondi, this is NOT a bribe.

Nobody would gift this repulsive piece of shit ANYTHING if he couldn’t trade off the office.

Only a MAGA would be ok with this thievery while he plunged the economy in the ditch and gives massive tax breaks to the rich by denying food and healthcare to the poor.

Didn’t leavitt just say “he left a life of luxury!!!!” Dudes flying around in a golden plane lmfaooo. Jesus Christ.

    7. In a serious country, this would be one of the grounds for an impeachment. Yet

    8. This is like a textbook example of corruption.

This can’t even be excused in any way.

    9. I remember when this would have been illegal. Gifts to the president are gifts to the office and not the person to prevent corruption.

    10. We live in an age of Feeling the Need to Ask Manifestly Stupid Questions:

1.) I assume the taxpayers will have to pay the bill to uninstall all the secret communications, radars, anti-aircraft defense mechanisms, etc.

2.) He WILL take the secret stuff out, right?

      3.) right?

And I have to take courses on anti-bribery warning us not to take anything of value … yep the party of law and order

    14. So if it’s a gift to him and not the office of POTUS… does he declare it on his taxes?

“He’s not taking a salary.” “He can’t be bought.” “The most righteous president ever.” “He is sacrificing everything for the country he loves.” What a load of horseshit. He is always on the take. It’s in his DNA.

yay, our country is for sale to the highest bidder!!! are we great yet?

If I were the next president, my first executive order would rip that thing out of his hands, and make a spectacle of using it for weapon’s test target practice.

As a federal employee, I’m not allowed to accept gifts, but this mf can accept a plane?

Karoline Leavitt says that Trump „gave up a life of luxury to be a public service“. Now he just happily accepted a free *gold-painted luxury private jet* from the leadership of another country.

The blatant corruption, bribery, and hypocrisy on display would have been enough to sink approval ratings already. But this also comes on the heels of him saying that maybe people don’t buy as much now because of the „Biden economy“.

The platform basically writes itself: Donald Trump just accepted a free private jet worth billions while he’s telling you to spend less. He doesn’t care about you, never has and never will.

    20. Trump will go down as the most successful con artist in history. Selling pardons, official crypto rug pulls, his family’s net worth increased by billions. No accountability, no justice

    21. Gifts accepted and received while President are required by law to be turned over to the United States government at the end of their term. Gifts received as President belong to the people.

    22. The Emoluments Clause, specifically the Foreign Emoluments Clause, is a provision in the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9, Clause 8) that states:
      > „No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.“
