      Powerful people in business and finance are rushing pitches and stepping up lobbying, catering their appeals to Trump and hiring lawyers with connections to the administration. These defendants with means are spending big for a chance to clear their names, at least in official records if not in public perception. Interviews with about two dozen lawyers and pardon hopefuls, many of whom asked not to be identified discussing plans that weren’t public, have pulled back the curtain on the clemency process under Trump. Some outlined plans to spend at least tens of thousands of dollars on attorneys, lobbyists and consultants, while others say the costs will reach well north of $1 million to put cases together and get them in front of the White House.

      If we’re just going to be openly corrupt I’d almost rather have the DOJ sell „get away with one crime“ cards for $1 million than deal with an opaque legal system that is designed to produce the same result with a lot more hassle.

      Not sure how any of this is legal. All members of congress unwilling to stand up for us on all the issues currently ruining our government and destroying our ideals need to be voted out. Don’t care what party they are. If you’re not actively fighting it, you’re complicit

      He could have the $5M card to get in the country and a $1M card to get out of jail.

      The Deep State was always the system of government itself. Trump couldn’t handle the fact he wasn’t a king his first term because he doesn’t know civics, government, or American history. He wanted all guard rails removed, including the Constitution. Draining the swamp meant removing all norms, standards, and laws governing all three branches of government. That’s why he put toadies in every position and calls it draining the swamp. This isn’t an administration. It’s an organized crime syndicate in league with corporations with the goal of stealing everything that isn’t nailed down.

      Dont get the pardon „heyyyy Trump just couldnt give you a parson now lets try again later“ and Trump mightve never even seen the request.  And you still keep the $1M and maybe even another million later.
