      Republicans need to realize that MTG is who they are.  And if they’re not okay with that, they need to leave the GOP and stop identifying as Republicans, and start voting against the GOP, until it changes its ways.

      But of course, they’re not worried about who they are, or what they’re doing to this country.   They’re concerned about whether or not they’ll be in charge.   They want to have power, and they’ll figure out what to do with it when they get there.

      Call this a conspiracy theory (which seems appropriate for any MTG story), but I think she’s using all this „Primary“ talk to get what she really wants: a place in the Trump cabinet. She’s been coveting one of those spots since his first term and hasn’t been shy about it. Time and time again she’s been passed over. So now she’s essentially threatening to guarantee the Dem Senate seat for another 6 years or to flip Georgia’s governorship blue for 4 – 8 years unless she’s convinced not to run.

      She wants something more than her little political district in rural Georgia. She wants a true seat at the table. This is her chance to get it; not with an election, but with the threat of ruining an election.

      Again, just a conspiracy theory, but it seems to fit her standard operating mode.

      Now that Trump just barely won election because voters were mad about inflation, Republicans are going to go all in on Trumpism. But Trumpism without Trump directly on the ballot has been shown to be a hard loser again and again. So Democrats can look forward to Republicans throwing away lots of winnable races on the most odious pigs they can find.

      I remember the predictions in 2015 and 2016 that if Trump won the Republican nomination for President, Democrats would be a lock to win the White House. Never underestimate the stupidity of voters.

      Maybe they shouldn’t have welcomed the MAGA zealots with open arms, or spent close to a decade appeasing them, and cowing to their demands while they took every position of power in the party, all in the name of „owning the libs“.

      The party is MAGA. You did this. It’s too fucking late to worry about the consequences. You even had the insurrection as the *perfect* pivotal point to split with MAGA and rebuild.

      The fact that she has a possibility of being elected GOVERNOR is really disturbing. Now that she has money and enough powerful friends willing to fund her campaign, she might have a shot. And its not because she’s the best person for the job…not even close. This is why we need to revisit Citizens United.

      As a Georgian, it’s wild to me she’s even elected, but her district is pretty sparse and loaded with nuts.

      I’d welcome her vs Ossoff. She’s a much worse candidate that Walker was, and she’s already in Government lol

      If a former Football player with no political experience was THIS CLOSE | | to beating established Senator Warnock, I have fear the outcome will not be a positive one. Marjorie Taylor (TBD) doesn’t need any more of a mouth in Congress.
