Hallo, in der Hoffnung auf einige Anleitung der Frauen der Schweiz. Mir ist klar, dass dies als irgendwie dorchig wirkt. Ich bin für ein paar Tage aus den USA in Zürich, um ihn zu widmen. Ich war noch nie in der Schweiz und alle meine Freunde haben mich gebeten, Schokolade zurückzubringen. Was für meine Freunde in Ordnung ist. Ich möchte etwas Besonderes für meine Frau zurückbringen, obwohl das einzigartig schweizerisch ist, aber nicht Schokolade, da das ein bisschen zu einfach erscheint, und ehrlich gesagt ist sie kein großer Schokoladenfan.
Also versuchte ich herauszufinden, was ich zurückbringen konnte, das etwas Besonderes und einzigartiges wäre. Mein Erbsenhirn dachte, vielleicht Hautpflege? Meine Frau ist ein großer Hautpflegeexperte. Als ob sie ehrlich gesagt eine Influencerin sein könnte, wenn sie diese Art von Verlangen hätte, ist sie sehr viel zu den neuesten Hautpflegeprodukten. Sie weiß wirklich so viel. Ich habe nur Ehrfurcht vor ihr, sie ist super sachkundig, wunderschön und sie kümmert sich erstaunlich um sich selbst. Nicht zu meinem Vorteil, weil es mir weniger interessiert sein könnte, ich bin nur froh, dass sie mich als ihr Ehemann auswählen würde. Ich bin absolut gesegnet. Erstaunliche Frau, erstaunliche Frau, erstaunliche Mutter, ich kratze den Kopf in der täglichen Zeit und versuche herauszufinden, was sie in mir sieht. 😆
Aber Hautpflege ist eine super wichtige Sache für ihren eigenen Seinszustand. Basierend darauf, dachte ich, Mann wäre wirklich cool, wenn ich etwas finden könnte, das eine qualitativ hochwertige Hautpflege aus der Schweiz war. Und obwohl ich ein Doofus bin, weiß ich genug, um zu wissen, dass Hautpflege eine sehr private und spezifische Sache für Frauen ist. Und ehrlich gesagt versuche ich, nicht auf ihre Seite des Badezimmers zu wandern (sie bekommt 7/8 des Badezimmers), weil es auf der Theke viel zu viel Produkt gibt und es mir irgendwie Angst macht. Ich bin zufrieden mit meinem kleinen Scheibe Waschbecken mit Rasiercreme, Zahnbürste, Rasiermesser und Zahnseide. Ich bin einfach und das funktioniert für mich. Ich halte mich von ihrer Seite fern, weil Whoa viel zu viel Scheiße ist, um zu versuchen zu verarbeiten. Wie, was zum Ernst? Was ist all diese Scheiße? 🤣
Ganz das, was gesagt wurde, ich habe ein kleines Video von den Zügen gemacht, die ich auf ihrer Theke gefunden habe. Ich habe mich gefragt, ob jemand da draußen ein wirklich hochwertiges Schweizer Produkt empfehlen könnte, das mit den Dingen in diesem Video in eine Schlange stehen würde, die ihr zeigen würde, dass ich einige Anstrengungen unternehme, um etwas Besonderes für sie zu finden. Auch hier weiß ich, dass dies eine dortige Anfrage ist, bitte seien Sie freundlich. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was diese Scheiße wirklich ist. Ich weiß nur, dass ich meine Frau liebe und etwas Besonderes für sie tun möchte.
Wenn jemand einige Vorschläge für ein Produkt hätte und ein Geschäft, in das ich gehen könnte, um es zu bekommen, wäre ich sehr dankbar. Vielen Dank im Voraus für das Lesen meines Beitrags. 😊

This is a very nice idea and you seem very thoughtful but – as everyone does with subjects they’re not personally familiar with – you’re underestimating just how little you know about skincare, and what other people can infer from the few products you’re showing.
Your wife is very into it; she knows which actives give her pimples, which actives do nothing for her, the type of formulations that clogs her pores, whether or not her skin reacts badly to fragrance or alcohol, what percentage of (insert active) is good for her, what type of consistencies she likes, whether she prefers a moisturising sunscreen, whether she needs said sunscreen to be waterproof, if certain smells are gross to her, I could list things for ten more minutes and not be even close to done.
There is only one person on this earth who could buy skincare for me and have a higher than 1% chance of getting something that is 1) useful to me and 2) that I actually like and would repurchase, and that is my closest friend who happens to ALSO be knowledgeable about skincare. Literally every other time I’ve been gifted skincare, I’ve known from just the ingredients list that it wouldn’t work for my skin (and I’ve tried them out of politeness and was right every time lmao).
Another thing about skincare is, if you like it, you’re going to want to repurchase it; she cannot do that if you get her something that is ONLY available in Switzerland (and right now, I can’t think of any brand like that), and things that are available to her are either 1) tested and liked and repurchased 2) tested and disliked and wasted money 3) on her wishlist or shitlist (or secret 4th option, she’s unaware of but again, you do not know enough about the subject to find something that falls within that option).
Think of it like getting highly specific (insert any sport/hobby equipment here); unless you’ve told them exactly what you needed OR were gifted something you already owned that was on its way out and in need of replacing, have you ever gotten a gift related to something that you’re **highly specialised** in that was useful to you?
You are not knowledgeable enough about skincare to get her anything there’s a chance she’ll like – even though, again, you seem very kind and thoughtful, that’s not the issue at all! Seeing a few products she likes is also not enough for someone who’s knowledgeable about skincare to know what she likes and most importantly (and what the video cannot show), dislikes.
Your best bet is to either ask her if there’s anything that’s available here that she’d like, or go for another type of gift, honestly. „scio me nihil scire“ type thing lol
I would suggest you not buy her skincare if she’s into it because she probably knows what she wants.
Better not buy her skincare for the reasons all the others suggested. Plus, most of those brands aren’t even swiss. Most are french and Korean. Most likely can be found in the US too.
There’s swiss skincare brands for sure. Most are quite expensive. Maybe if you’re really inclined on buying her skincare buy her a sample package?
Sample packages have small containers of different products for one to try and see which ones they like and which ones they don’t.
But ask a person at the store and share her age and if you know skin type, as in dry, mixed, oily, etc. Only if you know.
Go to a Müller or Sephora and ask for help from an employee and tell them you want a swiss brand for someone who’s very into skincare. Maybe they’ll have a good suggestion. Worst case scenario she may not like it for her skin and give it to a friend.
If you find nothing suitable just go with chocolate. Always a safe choice.
I am with the rest of the people here. Going into her field of expertise is a receipt for failing and skin care is too expensive to fail.
Does she drink (swiss vodka, morand abricotine or single malt whisky)? Paint (caran d’ache)? Some nice cheese? Sweets ( Luxemburgerli from Sprüngli at airport before you fly out)
