TRANSLATION (from the article)
The Netherlands is allocating more than 150 million euros to the purchase of ammunition for the F-16s for Ukraine. This was announced by outgoing Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren during a visit to Kyiv. In addition, Ukraine will receive more than 200 million euros for the purchase of reconnaissance drones.
The Netherlands previously agreed to supply Ukraine with 24 F-16s. The aircraft will go to Ukraine this fall. First, pilots must be trained to fly the F-16s.
“The F-16s will also be equipped with ammunition,” Ollongren explains from Kyiv. “It concerns smartly guided air-to-ground weapons so that the aircraft can be deployed effectively.”
“In this phase you see that in addition to all kinds of artillery, drones are also needed,” Ollongren continues. The Netherlands will therefore purchase reconnaissance drones for 200 million euros. “They show what is happening on the ground.”
Ollongren was also able to confirm in Kyiv that the Netherlands still firmly supports Ukraine. Last week, a large majority of the House of Representatives supported the ten-year security agreement that outgoing Prime Minister Rutte recently signed in Kharkiv.
This year, 2 billion in military aid to Ukraine
Until February 2024, Dutch military support to Ukraine stood at 2.81 billion euros. These include donated F-16s, tanks, armored vehicles, air defenses, weapons, ammunition, fuel and generators.
Last month, the government announced that it would contribute 250 million to a Czech initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine. The 400 million for ammunition for F-16s and drones that Ollongren pledged today in Kyiv is in addition to this.
This year, the outgoing cabinet has set aside a total of 2 billion euros for military support to the country.
Here to hoping that others will follow strongly
Love to see us not just supporting the czech ammo intiative, but adding drones and f-16 ammunition packages on top of the planes itself.

Nice, gotta make sure top of the line high tech ammo is used, not some sidewinders someone still had laying around from the 70’s.
I am just worried about how the familyname of Minister Ollongren translates in swedish..
