I never expected to witness such a spectacular aurora display just 20 km from the city lights of Warsaw, Poland. But on the night of August 12-13, 2024, one of the strongest geomagnetic storms in recent years brought a breathtaking spectacle, with auroras visible to the naked eye across Central Europe.
