FYI: Portsea Island is a tiny island off the south coast of England. Only about 25 sq km in area but lots of people live there because it’s part of the city of Portsmouth.

Five million people live on Sicily? It must be so densely populated.

  3. If you are counting it as an inland because of a canal (like the Peloponnesos), then you should include Jutland for Denmark/Germany I think?

Edit: I guess the original poster defined an island as a landmass that is seperated from the main land by salt water (Sea or Canal), that’s why the Corint canal (which has salt water in it) is counted here.

It just is another problem geography and a lot of other “exact sciences” have with placing the real world into categories (which is impossible in a philosophical sensd but necessary for these sciences to function)

Hmm…Södertörn is not a real island since it is severed from the mainland by a man made canal with a lot of bridges spanning it . If such a artificial island counts then the bottom fourth of Sweden is an island since it is severed from the other part by the canal Göta Kanal which runs from the Baltic to the swedish west coast.

Typical stockholm bullsh*t to try to pass off Södertörn as a island.
