I’m not donating to the NDP until they change leadership and change approach to one that is realistic and actually has a hope of gaining traction and preventing conservative majority government and all the damage it will do to the country.

The NDP is in complete denial.

Singh momentum is not magically going to arrive. Their current strategy is not working and it’s not going to start suddenly working.

They’re abandoning the country to an unchecked Pollievre majority and are essentially resigning the next election so that their current leader can take the hit and then they will rebuild afterwards while the country suffers, while its institutions are dismantled. (Same with the Liberals, but I don’t donate to the Liberals). That is not acceptable.

I have nothing but disdain for this strategy of giving up so the current leader can take the hit (or magical thinking that somehow they’re going to gain momentum — delusional). Their job is to do what’s best for the country, not what’s best for their leader and rebuilding window. Singh needs to go. Trudeau needs to go. Or if they’re going to simply give up and resign the next election they should just announce that now and let people vote for parties who actually want to try and win.

Holding the CPC to a minority (to mitigate the damage they can do with the power of a majority government) is an imperative goal but both Trudeau and Singh and their parties seemingly are just going to run out the clock and abandon us. They don’t deserve our votes let alone donations. Not to mention neither of them have any real solutions for the structural problems that face our country.
