TRANSLATION:
>The trial of a former police sergeant of the Kure Police Station accused of secretly photographing women with a small camera hidden in his shoe, revealed that the former sergeant was in possession of a photograph of a “naked female child” that was part of an investigative file.
>According to the indictment, Kaoru Yoshiya, 38, a former sergeant of the Kure Police Station, was accused of taking pictures of the inside of a woman’s skirt using a small camera hidden in his shoe at a commercial establishment in Fuchu-cho in April of this year, and admitted the charges at his first trial last month.
>At the trial on April 26, Yoshiya admitted to the charges, stating that he took the photos to satisfy his sexual desires.
>The prosecution pointed out that the still images were provided by the person involved in the case in trust of the investigating authorities, and that he took advantage of his position as a police officer, and asked for a 10-month prison sentence for Yoshiya.
>The defense asked for a suspended sentence on the grounds that the defendant had already retired from the police force and had received social sanctions.
>The verdict will be delivered on the 30th of next month.
10 months? Should’ve been 10 years!
Oh look, the pedo-defenders are suddenly strangely downvoting these posts again.
Seems to be a lot of deviant police officers in Japan. Cant count how many have been nailed for offenses ranging from DUI, Rape, harassment, sexual harassment, bribery, intimidation , negligent driving … list just goes on. Don’t they put these people through polygraphs during the hiring process ?? Weed them out before they use their power position to do harm unto others ?
