ISPs could offer lower and would still turn a profit. Someone tell those loons not everything has to be maximum profit

*Republicans angry that they can’t just shove tax payer money to their telecom exec friends for free.*

It makes them so mad when the poors get to eat the scraps before they get a chance to spit on them.

Cool we need more regulation capping these fucking monsters from sucking all the money out of everything.

    Regulate every fucking bill.

  6. Anything to distract attention from the insurrectionist they’re trying to get elected.

  7. Fuck telecommunications companies. They have stolen hundreds of billions in tax dollars to build infrastructure they refuse to do after accepting the money.

Enforcing rules on your investment isn’t “rate regulation”, its wise investment strategy. If the independence is the priority then stay away from US Grants.

    >GOP calls it “rate regulation”

From the first search result for “what is rate regulation”:

    >Rate regulation is the setting by regulatory bodies or governments of prices that can be charged to customers for services or products through regulations, **often where an entity has a monopoly or dominant market position that gives it significant market power.**

I’m sorry, am I to understand that Republicans are correctly describing our shared reality? I don’t believe it!

Later tonight: “Conservatives want to ban books, says they’re ‘full of words and… ideas’ and ‘educating children makes it harder to control them.'”

If the poor have no Internet how will they read Truth Social?

How will they spread misinformation on social media?

And yet people have to jump through flaming  hoops to get money from the government for food. If the isp’s don’t like it they can stop taking the damn money.

There absolutely needs to be a ban on private companies being the only source for critical public services.

Wait! I know this one! As my magat family likes to point out about student loan forgiveness…they didn’t have to accept that money, they could have turned it down and they wouldn’t be required to offer lower rate plans…but they took it, and now it’s time to fulfill their obligations that were a condition of the grant.

  14. Republicans: How dare we not be able to funnel free money to our telecom donors which will pay us back with cushy board seats and consulting gigs after we leave office. The nerve!!!!

While on the topic of ISPs how about we block all Russian IP addresses.  That would cut down the disinformation considerably.
