In light of the recent Crocus terrorist attack, a UN report from Jaunary provides insight into the recruiting strategies of ISIS-Khorasan over the last year. ISIS-K began a recruitment drive using amonst other techniques a telegram channel to radicalise individuals. Recent foiled ISIS attacks in the west have included Tajiks, Uzbeks and Krygyz individuals.
