      About time, particularly at fuel depots. Blocking fuel supplies while complaining about the price of fuel sounds a bit thick.

      It’s clear this has escalated far beyond what the protesters expected. I just hope the army has people trained to handle the machinery properly, and that no one tries dragging anything onto low loaders in a rush.

      About time. Blocking fuel depo is a security threat to the country and people doing it need to be dealt with harshly.

      Impound every vehicle involved and refuse release until the owner is investigated to be fully compliant with the law.

      Im usually pro-protest… But these guys are protesting because of world events outside Irelands influance or control and causing not only disruption but also endangering the public by delaying emergency vehicles.

      We all want „less tax“ specifically for things we want but you already got it, and if things get worse, you’ll probably get more relief. Go to the states and protest their war thats causing the problem.

      The hauliers and farmers should get themselves down to Trumps hotel Doonbeg. Trump is to blame for this mess, not the Irish government. Protest his properties and the US embassy ffs.

      Defining ‘critical infrastructure’ would be useful. Of course this is related to the fuel depots but how far will this be escalated? Will they remove vehicles at Dublin Airport, the Dublin Port Tunnel and the motorways if needed?

      I was looking back at how gardai dealt with the Debenham workers from a few years ago to compare with how gardai are reacting to this protest.

      And its mad to see how the gardai quickly jumped into action and cleared that protest.

      Yet I saw the clip of the m18 protest the other morning, and a garda car essentially leading the protest out.
