    >Andrew Puzder, the U.S. ambassador to the bloc, told the Financial Times that the EU plans to change safety rules that could breach the spirit of the trade deal struck in August between the United States and the EU if they prevented some American vehicles from being sold in Europe.

    >The automaker group noted an alliance of safety and green groups has been pressuring the EU „to end so-called ‚loopholes‘ that allow large ‚American-style‘ pick-up trucks – to be sold in Europe.“

    Keep whining 🙂

  2. Well yea, when the car is literally bigger than some roads, what do you expect?

  3. Large US pickups are too big for European roads anyway.

I once watched an imported Escalade get stuck in the old town of a UK city. Literally wedged between two medieval walls, unable to move.

    Fuck yeah
Those monstrosities are ridiculous on a local roads and deadly to everyone on the road.

They can keep those bullshit vehicles. We need reasonable sized cars. There was one of those shitboxes on the supermarket parking lot. Took almost 2 Parking spots in length.

Imagine the horror of not being able to drive a Dodge RAM in the meandering alleyways of historical European city centres.

  7. My neighbor has a American truck, its literally the size of two cars and wide af. He or she cant even exit the neighborhood early in the morning or late at night when everyone is parked.

  8. They really can only fucking bitch and moan. Keep your security hazards an ocean away from our streets please

  9. Is that supposed to threaten us with a good time saying that?

We do not need cars sized like American pickup trucks on the roads here.

  10. As they should be. Only a total fool would drive one of those vehicles in europe.

  11. No sane people need cars that big, only people who are compensating.

We have trucks, up to 26 tons, those are for serious work.

  12. Too bad..sucks to be you .have American car makers not seen the European roads..like duh?

We certainly hope that these damn engines cannot be imported into Europe.

  14. That’s what most Europeans want and vote for. Let’s see if we start understanding democracy.

  15. Build a normal (standard) size car and people will buy it because it can actually be used. This bigger is better crap does not belong in NZ either.

Theyre an absolute safety hazard with so many blind spots for drivers.

  17. Then the EU is certainly doing something very right. Those large pickup trucks have no place in Europe, aside from maybe some people who live up in the mountains.

Maybe if their president hadn’t started multiple trade wars, and threatened an actual war, with Europe, they might be able to get exceptions or something. Trump is nuking that relationship daily…

  19. It’s about time American companies learned the world does not need to cater to them. If the USA won’t put reasonable restrictions on capitalism let the rest of the world do it.

Perfect! Nobody needs those cars especially after the fuel crisis caused by them.

  21. I have retired in Spain. In my first four years I saw an American pickup truck twice. Recently they are becoming more frequent. Clearly they don’t fit in street parking and garages since they are often illegally parked. As more Americans move here it’s inevitable that some would bring their oversized vehicles. It doesn’t make a good impression here.
