I love to see how industrious/resourceful that the Ukrainians are. This is how you destroy the orcs!!

    Слава Україні!🇺🇦🇺🇦

Tanks make really shitty artillery. First, because tank shells are not made in quantities comparable to normal artillery shells (because they aren’t needed in those quantities), and then, because shells themselves are weaker for their caliber than equivalent artillery shells because tank’s recoil distance is limited by the turret dimensions, a limitation towed gun doesn’t have. They also have primitive fire control mechanisms for indirect fire, which they are simply not designed for.

Russians tried to use their old tanks as artillery as well back in 2023-24, this practice largely ended as they were picked off by drones without achieving much. Trials conducted by Russians themselves proved that tanks achieve much poorer results than a normal artillery battery would.
