Why does Germany always come out looking more positive than the reality I and many people I know here have been experiencing the last 5 years since Covid? Even the unemployment stats always seem far from reflecting the reality . Or everything is really bad everywhere that even somewhere that looks good on paper feels awful in reality these days

  2. Netherlands feels accurate. Salary growth does not meet inflation rate.

    Housing costs are ridiculous.

Every fucking thing I see online about my country makes me more and more suicidal, I hate the fucking government so much. The damage they’ve done won’t be fixed during my lifetime, that’s for sure. If the voting on Sunday goes the wrong way then I’m done

What the fuck is economic prosperity 🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺

  5. Finland shows what happens when residential space supply increases faster than it can be absorbed, combined with poor economic performance. If the data included year 2025, the price drop would be even deeper.

  6. I wish the order in the title matched the order in the infographic. For a lot of people on mobile, the text in the infographic is blurry, so the natural inclination would be to assume the order in it is the same as the order in the title, but it’s not.

It feels insane to me that we’re not topping the list but an eye opener for definite, we’re all feeling this pain.

the median salary hasnt gone up.. at all, especially in the rest of the country

  9. Greece be like: „You can’t have inflation if you don’t give any numbers!“

  10. No wonder Hungary is on the first place. If non-eu countries were listed, Serbia would be on top.

France and Italy look like they are doing relatively well in keeping salary increases equal to the increase in the price of housing.

  12. Greece is missing in these eurostat indexes but here are the numbers from other sources: house prices 60%, net salaries 25%, food prices 35%

Seeing the countries above us(Czech), I can’t believe it could be any worse. House and grocery prices galloped away like a spooked horse.

Idk how tf the salaries for Romania have increased, because everywhere I look, they’re really low when it comes to food and house prices for a month. Not to mention it being really hard to get a job (any job) as a youngster.

  15. I’m highly sceptical about the numbers for Romania. In the big cities the housing prices have gone up by more than 75% and in some cities like Brașov and Sibiu the prices more than doubled.

What a crazy diagram, and what information should this convey? Absolutely nothing at all..

These numbers seem off. At least for Estonia both the net salaries and house prices don’t look right.

Who makes these calculations? I can say for a fact that they are not true for my country at all, the food prices went up alot more than it shows here and the wages did not go up as much… and average wage is BS anyway since CEO’s and rich ppl can inflate that number alot while normal people don’t get any increase.

Unfortunately averages do not reflect most people’s situation.
