      Trump is so used to negotiating from a position of power. He has absolutely zero leverage in this, an issue that he caused, that Iran can choose to do whatever they want.

      The Houthis are not as powerful as Iran so I’m not sure how long they can last under an Iran type bombardment.

      Either way if they try this they will be dooming the civilian population to untold misery. During the Saudi involvement in Yeman the West was sending aid to the civilian population, they won’t be doing much of that this time around imo.

      Remember the giant price hikes and weird item shortages back during covid when that cargo ship blocked the Suez Canal? This is further south from there but blocking it has the same effect. All the sea traffic between Europe and Asia passes through there. More oil tankers can cargo ships can be blocked here than Hormuz. Yemen will get bombed a lot if this happens.
