Hawai’i would like the world to know there are more to our islands then our beaches and what the hotels offer. Come learn the real Hawai’i. Learn about what makes Hawai’i truly unique. Our unique ecosystems. Our language. Our culture. Our history.  The things that make Hawai’i stick out. Not the hotels, not the fake tikis and hula that isn’t always the most genuine.

What makes Hawai’i, Hawai’i? Well, travel around the island, explore local companies and communities.

TLDR: if you’re coming to Hawai’i, the best thing you could do is immerse yourself.

Mahalo. A Hui hou. Aloha ahiahi!

  2. Honestly, I’ve been to 27 states. The only northern states I haven’t been to are Washington and North Dakota. North Dakota will be my 50th state, if I ever get there. There seems to be no other reason to go there other than, meh.

  3. As I drove east on 90, I used to see a sign urging me to turn north that said “Why Not Minot.”

You ever been to North Dakota Jerry? The answer is No.

Do you know why Jerry? Because nobody travels to North Dakota.

Seriously.. tell me one thing thats in North Dakota Jerry? Point proven.

I have a hard time believing Utah pulls 40% more than Colorado. You could convince me it’s higher, but 40%?

  6. The color scheme is screwing me up but as a native North Carolinian a lot of foreigners seems to say they have visited. Mostly Asheville and the Parkway.

Lmao Im from ND and I always get a kick out of these maps that show us in dead last. We do ostensibly have a tourism industry, Ive just never understood why anyone would come here for vacation aside from maybe Medora. I will say though that the state is actually quite beautiful in the springtime.

ND can be a great place to live, but visiting is a different story.

Nevada doesn’t need to be included in the 50% map. California, Florida, and New York makes up over 50% themselves.

This is complete garbage. Four million people visited Yellowstone National Park last year alone. Just cause it’s on the internet….

  10. I grew up in Winnipeg in the early 90s and have memories of both Grand Forks and Devils Lake being road trip destinations. We moved away in the mid 90s and it would seem we took our tourism with us. Sorry.

I rather enjoyed my visit to ND. Teddy Roosevelt State Park was absolutely awesome with the wild horses and the prairie dogs.

But then again my ex-wife did say that I don’t count

I live here. There’s hiking the entire Maah Dah Hey trail or discovering the Badlands, chillin in Medora to see the famous musical, camping at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park (with the Bison) or Lewis and Clark State Park in June then Fishing on Lake Sakakawea, ND State Fair and Parade in Minot the third weekend in July, Halloween at Lake Metigoshe the last weekend in July, visiting the International Peace Garden in August, countless rodeos in the summer, tons of hunting all over the state. Stars by the billions. Sometimes the Northern Lights in winter. Yeah, this place isn’t worth checking out.

I’m low key surprised Florida and New York both beat out California, yet Texas doesn’t even come close.

I’m always surprised by the number. 9.8 millions only for New York, 7M for California??? It’s 23M only for Paris in 2025 (half of the tourists).

  15. I went to Bismarck like 10 times in the summer of 22. I really like North Dakota in the summer…
