„In my best interest“ is an interesting concept. I prefer to think that I have top level authority over what is in my best interest. Others may prefer a granny state where the system tells them what to do and what is best. It’s interesting. We get to vote snd we get to chose. That’s the other half of this.

This looks like it leads into a gated neighborhood or possibly an apartment complex so it’s really not surprising

China has 700 million surveillance cameras with facial recognition technology. We have a long way to go. But we need to justify these AI data centers.
Flock cameras are subsidized by local police stations, which in turn are your tax dollars. Food for thought.

You have to attend the local police budget meeting. That’s where they get in. They use the local news to promote them as a vital tool for law enforcement.

The Drey Dossier on Substack or YouTube has so much more information. Oracle. Larry Ellison. Flock. They are all tied together. Also Ellison’s son now owns most of the media.

I’ve been freaking out about these this week. Counted 9 on my short commute in a Chicago suburb.
There’s apparently ONE study that says flock cameras (under certain conditions) raise arrest rates for reported crimes by about 9%. Who conducted this study? Fucking FLOCK. Idk if it’s even peer reviewed. But sure, let it justify spending millions.
Also, for a while their feeds weren’t encrypted and anyone could access it and see video archives.

They’re all up down the rural roads where I live at. Supposedly for license plate readers to capture „stolen vehicles“ leaf technology.

Don’t forget about the cop that used the flock live feed to stalk his ex
Or how easy it is to hack in to flock to watch anyone you want
